Our Street is a unique one in that
the majority of people know one-another. There is an
annual art event at a home on the street, a putt-putt golf
tournament every year where residents build golf holes in their
yards, trick-or-treating / kid’s party before dark, a fall-fling
neighborhood cookout, and a holiday party / hay-ride for
children. Sometimes, there’s also a tour-of-homes event
happening as well. The street is made up of
long-time residents and young couples starting families.
It’s a rare gift to live in such an ideal place.

We live within walking distance of a town square with
restaurants, ice cream shops, retail stores, theaters, and a
playground. One of our favorite things to do during the summer
is to walk up to the square to go to the farmer’s market and
then grab breakfast. We sometimes walk up at night to grab
dinner at the Thai restaurant or pizza joint and occasionally
splurge at the mix-your-own ice cream shop. Sometimes, there
are art festivals, parades, and concerts up there as well.
There is a 4th of July Parade and Fireworks as well.
