Life After College... Our Travels

To fulfill this appreciation for architecture developed in college, we have made a point to travel the world to experience famous buildings and diverse cultures.  We  traveled to Spain on our honeymoon. Several years later we went to France to explore Paris and the Normandy countryside.  Last fall we visited Italy - staying with friends who were living in Florence.  Domestically, we have explored cities such as Chicago, Milwaukee, San Francisco, New York, Victoria (Canada), Los Angeles, Las Vegas (to see Cirque du Soliel shows), New Orleans (before Katrina), and Seattle as well as natural destinations such as the sandstone landscape of Arizona and the mountains of Western North Carolina

Dream destinations include visiting Australia antelope canyonand the Greek Islands one day, exploring portions of Egypt and Asia, and visiting places in Europe that the two have not seen before.  (The island from where Todd’s grandparents descended, Rhodes Greece, is actually known for their proliferation of butterflies… we’d hope to go during butterfly season at some point!)  Domestically, the two wish to explore New York more in-depth, visit Boston, re-visit Denver, San Antonio and Chicago, and spend more time in Mt. Zion national park.

vernazzaHighlights include visiting Parc Guell designed by Antonio Gaudi (in Barcelona Spain), visiting the Musee D’Orsay and the Louvre Museum in Paris, taking a photography tour of the Antelope Slot Canyons in Arizona, and hiking the Cinque Terre on the coast of Italy
