Todd is interested in playing golf, watching baseball and football, and hiking.

c cookingCandice also enjoys hiking, cooking, making silver jewelry, and gardening.  We are both interested in painting and take an occasional art class.  Candice is involved in community service at the neighborhood, city, and county level.  The majority of her volunteer service aims to beautify and strengthen the community and school programs in the area.

We are very social people, hosting frequent parties and gatherings in our home.  Every Saturday evening in January, we have an open-invitation Soup Night where Candice cooks two large pots of soup (one vegetarian) and see who all shows up.  The size of the gathering ranges from 8 to 48 people.  It’s crazy – especially when a lot of friends bring their children – but it is a lot of fun.  At Labor Day, we usually host an annual low-country boil (a tradition of the coastal Georgia and Carolinas) where shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes are boiled in a large pot and tossed across the table for all to pick at and eat.  In between, we host an occasional Christmas party, poker tournament, or bon-fire in the back yard.  We pride ourselves on welcoming people into our home in an enjoyable and warm environment.
